DHL, EoSL - Valencia

Freehand were asked provide a host of creative pre-production and on-site creative services for DHL's Era of Sustainable Logistics (EoSL) event in Valencia, Spain.

Hosted at the world famous Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, this global event brought together the worlds thought leaders in making the logistics industry more sustainable.

Video Walls - We created content for two huge video walls (up to 7m across). This content looped throughout the two days of the exhibition.

Opening VT - Freehand sourced and filmed (in our studio) a diverse range of actors whose job it was to represent a concerned worlds population during the events opening VT. Designed to get an emotional repose from the audience, the opening VT was edited by us and played to the 1,000 strong audience behind a single, on stage, flamenco dancer.

Interactive Exhibition: Element 6 - Working close with DHL's sustainability team team we produced an interactive exhibit designed to allow users to see in realtime how changes they made to their fleets had results in improving (or otherwise) their carbon footprint. This was displayed on a huge 6m screen in the exhibition.

Drone Footage - DHL were very keen to show the magnificent venue at its best. We took multiple drone shots of the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias for inclusion in various videos. The venue was stunning, particularly at night.

Cycling - Much fun was had when we hired a car for a day and drove into the surrounding mountains to follow a team of cyclists as they competed the final leg of their mammoth ride from Frankfurt to Valencia (DHL HQ to the event). We tracked the cyclists with drone shots and roadside cameras for a stirring montage played at the opening presentation.

'Candids' Montage - We spent many hours filming the event over two days capturing attendees, exhibits, events and even parties. This we edited into a 5 minute summary video which was used to close the event - to much applause!

Conduct Interviews with Attendees - Time was also made to make sure that we got feedback on the event from the attendees in the for of 'Vox pop' videos.

In all Freehand spent 9 days in Valencia supporting DHL's own creative teams. Freehand supplied a 2 man on-site team to cover the event.
