DIGITAL SIGNAGE CASE STUDY
Digital screens bring mannequins alive
The challenge :
To promote a wide range of fashions and catwalk styles using innovative window screens and Digital Signage technologies.
Stella McCartney is an English fashion designer (and daughter of Sir Paul McCartney), with a number of stores around the world. Her designs are released seasonally and the windows designers were challenged to find innovative ways to display different collections that complimented the in-window mannequin styles.
The solution :
For a number of years Freehand has worked closely with Stella McCartney’s windows design and visual merchandising teams, designing innovative window schemes, Digital Signage and AV solutions.
Freehand also repurposed the supplied landscape video and stills content for the Digital Signage screens which are usually hung portrait.
In the very competitive world of fashion and with the number of stores and concessions across the world, the windows design team need to be sure that designs are released to coordinate with special events such as London Fashion Week. Freehand's recommendation to the client was to provide a managed service where content is published and managed remotely.
Client comments ;
Laura Gramston, Head of Window Design at Stella McCartney commented “Our business is delivering styles, innovative design and customer experiences to our customers and stores around the world in a quick and easy manner – screens now make that simple and working with Freehand is always enjoyable - we can be sure that they will always deliver on-time and on-budget.”
